Heeeeeey fellows! How is it going? It has been a while since our latest post. That because we have spent some good time traveling Europe (and yeah, cool places like Sziget Festival in Hungary!). Eventually we have start to work on a show which is going to be premiered on our Youtube channel. The name is TESTER and I would describe it as “the secret life of a man looking for true knowledge” and, yes, we are making it funny! It is going to be a show in Italian language, but we might consider to add english subtitles if there will be enough request for it :)
After that we will keep on working on some music stuff: experimental clips mostly. It’s gonna be awesome, trust me pals!
Btw, we have some goodies for you, some shots directly from the backstage of the show, taken by our friend Gabriele Principato. Here we go!

Hello again dear eva-fellows! What’s up? Hope everything’s fine for you as it is for us!
As you know, we released our very first short movie last week and we are really happy of all the good feedback we are receiving! So, do you like it? if you missed it, well, no trouble, you can reach it directly on our Vimeo Page, or just clicking on the “DAYDREAM” preview on the left column of this blog! Of course, every positive or (hopefully not :D) negative feedback or comment is REALLY appreciated, so don’t be shy and tell us what you think! ;)
However, as usual, in this post I’ll give you some suggestion of what is thrilling the Gang in these days, and obviously while doing that, I’ll listen to some new cool music!
The amazing album I’m listening to right now is one of the last I bought, “Ogni riferimento… è puramente casuale” from Calibro35, probably the most intresting band in Italy of these days, for me at least! Listen to them and support this great band!
The second suggestion I’ll give you tonight is a very absorbing TV show, Dexter. LuckyBastard introduced me to the series right during the making of DAYDREAM and it really fascinated me, expecially for its particular and rather “claustrophobic” photography, as you can see from its brilliant opening sequence:
The next suggestion for you is still in the TV series area. During this week I had some time to look for the composer of my favourite series at the moment, The Walking Dead; if you haven’t watched the show, it’s certainly worth at least a try!
However, while watching the show I have always been impressed on how its soundtrack could improve and emphasize the emotions and feelings in the various moments of the show in such a very subtle way, so that you aren’t really aware of the tune that’s flowing under the scene, but at the same time it manages to move you emotionally without distracting you from the scene. Needless to say that this is what all film score composers aim and that it’s all but easy to get! Especially in a weekly series in which time and resources are much short than those of the big screen movies.
So I found out that the composer of the show is Bear McCreary, known for scoring quite a few of other series, and what I discovered on his blog left me really impressed and confirmed my impression that he is a really talented and creative composer! Just take a look to his last video-blog in which he tells you on how he managed to use a Kazoo (yes, a kazoo!) in The Walking Dead score:
I know, it’s impressive! He gave a all new dimension to that weird-quacky-thing!
Well, I think it’s time to leave you for now!
I hope you enjoyed my suggestion, I’ll see you soon on these pages!
Hey fellows! I’m glad to see you that we’ve just had a cool meeting with our friend Elstump. With her help we’ve revised a new and ass-kicking screenplay. The coolest thing? You’re going to watch an original experimental short movie from the Gang in less than one month. Yikes!
So, there’s a very important task for you my friends. We really need you to support Mr.What’s 3d sounds experiments because we’re going to involve the latest holophonic sound techniques in our short. Man, it’s gonna be a lot of work!
Support the gang now! Look how we are cute while working!
A touching capture. To be an artist in Italy means you will not be able to afford a decent phone and a real notepad at the same time!
Btw, while we’re working hard I wish to share with you something that Mr.What has recently found. C’era Una Volta a Roma (Once Upon A Time In Rome… And no, it is not a coincidence) is a massive event promoted by Red Bull Music Academy. The juicy thing is that all-star musicians from all over the world had been directed to perform the music of the most awesome Italian cult movies. The event featured fresh and witty artists such as Musica Nuda, which we really love.
Fair enough for now. I will keep you up to date step-by-step my friends. See you soon!
Going back to Genova. The gang is calling! Tonight I will enjoy with Mr.What an interesting French movie which will be very helpful about our next move. The title is “La Vie Rêvée des Anges” (The Dreamlife of Angels).
And well, for one night I’m sure I will not miss Genova’s winter nights. Man, Italy is so fucking cold now!
See you and enjoy this special railway sunset which is in front of me exactly now. Yup!
It is new! It is cool! And it has a brand new musical intro by What! It is the new eva!blogcast episode!
Wolf/Pester’s trip to Venice keeps on rockin’ and the gang offers you more stuff from the exhibit! And, hey, don’t forget to subscribe to the !blogcast feed. It can be done by one simple click here. Why? Well, we’re going to use our the gang’s Youtube channel and, especially, Vimeo’s to promote a HD version of our !blogcast (respectively 720 and 1080 points, yikes!), but subscribing the feed you will be able to download a compressed version of the episodes directly on your phones and pods. Cool, isn’t it?
Hey there! I’ve found a flyer about the Genova’s flood exhibit. The gang is going to be there to support the event. Here you are! One click to enlarge.
It’s gonna be cool! All the incomings will be sent to a school several damaged by the flood.
This time I want to share with something I’m having a hand at. Do you remember the updates about the Genova’s flood disaster I shared with you some days ago? Good. Now I’ve something new and it sounds cool. A bunch of associations are working the develop a massive exhibit which will feature artists of many kind. From photography to ballet, music included. So, what are you waiting for?
Palazzo Rosso a Genova.
The exhibit is going to take place into one of the most amazing historical buildings of Genova: Palazzo Rosso (literally, the red palace). The event will last from December 7th until the 8th and, most important, all the money raised will be donated to the people of Genova struck down by the flood!
A night at Borobudur in Genova with freaking cool people! The gang have enjoyed quite much the experience. Hey guys, it’s the only Thailandese restaurant in Italy. Plus, we watched a special dance show performed just for us and our friends. Great!
Hey fellows! Here we are again, the gang has something new for you! It’s called eva!blogcast and we are going to use it to share with you our best stories. The first episode will show you the results of Wolf’s latest trip with Francesca Traverso, a talented photographer from Genova. So, what are you waiting for? Click on the video and enjoy the 54th Venice Biennale, a travel between art, design and architecture. And hey! Don’t forget your headphones, this time background music is by Wolf himself.
Ladies and gentleman! A warm welcome to our !blogcast
Genova’s flood emergency is finally over. Unfortunately, after several days of heavy rains the city now looks quite different. Then, while Italy is living through dramatic times, some people are volunteering to give back to Genova its original beauty. They’re normal people like us but we call them angeli del fango, angels of the mud. They’re working all day long. For free. But when they come back home they find it’s not over yet. This big cleanup is not enough.
These people are our heroes. Thanks guys
You should know that after the flood catastrophe many people got - way too much - angry with the local major, Marta Vincenzi, questioning its effort. But the real causes of this disaster lie deeper underground. We are living just now the consequences of years of widespread blindness. That is it. Nowadays nobody in Italy is happy, but again the solution to people’s real problems is coming from below. And it’s a hard work, but we all still believe because “it can’t rain all the time”. [Eric Draven from “The Crow”, 1994]
It is happening again. For the second time in one week a heavy cloudburst is releasing its waterloads on the region of Liguria, the Italian Riviera. The Bisagno River, which generally is crappy and full of rats, is right now starting overflowing. Shit!

It was a sort of announced disaster for Genova because every year we have to face heavy rains. So, this Autumn the township has unvealed its brand new feature to get the money to face the problem: new fee parking areas all over the city. That means that now you can pay a year’s subscription to enjoy the privilege to see your car been taken away by the fury of Nature.
Unfortunately there are bigger matters than save my car from become a poor man’s yacht. The town of Monterosso al Mare too is right now living through terrible times because of the floods.

Since local weather forecast predicts stormy conditions until tomorrow’s night seems we will have to wait while everything is getting worse. …We hope Italy will start to answer its people’s real needs soon.
What is Hallowmas? Well, well, well dear fellows. Hallowmas is this freakin’ cool thing:
The World/Inferno Friendship Society are giving us a good reason to die for: MASSIVE FUN!
We are not new to The World/Inferno Friendship Society’s experience, since the Gang remembers well its day with those guys. The bad news is that we never managed to join that amazing party. Yet. So, where had I been this time while all that unbelievable fun were taking place? The answer is: Genova.
Looks beautiful, isn’t it? It is. And perhaps funny, isn’t it? Could be better.
This is the story of how my city bored me to death. Since the end of Shout Parties to find good fun is starting be discouraging hard. I feel that my city (and my country, I could dare) is not supporting enough art. I mean, you might happen to come here and have a lot of fun: a good drink, some loud fellows (pure Italian style); but if you are looking for something different - and artful - you’re in trouble, unless you live in our Big Apple (Roma) or that kind of very big cities.
Roma, a real rock city. True story.
Shit happens. So this why the Gang is working hard. We wish a better world! We wish a place where beautiful freaks wander around on their cute designer bicycles.
I need something like that as soon as possible.
While trying to survive another Hallowmas-free year I will ask you something. Send us pictures of your Halloween fun! I don’t know yet how the other Gang guys spent the night, but I’m definitely sure this city needs a shake. For this reason write us, hopefully next year the all of us will be in a more interesting place!
Like this, yup! (Björk - Crystalline. Such a cool video).
Until that moment I’ll plan how to arrive Venezia and join its Carnival. I’ve never been there and it looks amazing. What do you think about it?
