Hey Eva-fellows! What’s up?

Great news here, I’m glad to announce that our first short movie, DAYDREAM, has reached 1000+ views since a couple of days! We are really happy and proud for it, we can’t wait to finish our second work!

In the meantime I had the chance to collaborate with an amazing animator, Johannes Matsson from Sweden: I made some nice homophonic sound design on his amazing new character animation called SPACEMAN. It was REALLY fun doing it! Really reminds me of Pixar’s Wall-E, one of my favorite animation movies! And I was not the only one from Eva to work in it, our buddy LB made a little cameo in it: he actually is the voice of the Spaceman himself!

Hope you like our latest collaboration!

Peace,

MrW

Hey!

I’m glad to announce you that Eva is back in pre-production, again! We’ve just started working on our second short movie, it’ll be somehow more traditional in look than DayDream, but mind-blowingly experimental in its plot and structure!

In the mean time I’ve been playing a bit with the new gear we won this summer at a contest, yeah it took quite a bit to arrive but finally it did.

I hope you’ll enjoy the track, I tried to use sounds and instruments in kind of a unusual way, especially the vinil-crackle sound that turned out to be somehow musical, but still disturbing. I’ll definitely try to put it in one of our next works, maybe as a theme for one of the main characters! The deep bass sound instead is a rhodes piano played on its lowest register. I was quite impressed of how deep and cinematic this sound can be, and the extreme-panning vibrato gives it a tense and suspenseful feeling I really dig.

Well, it’s all for now, we’ll keep you informed on the news for the new short!

Peace.

MrW
