Post-atomic Cornflakes!
Hello guys! Even if I had to overcome a couple of technical issues, I am finally here to give some updates. First of All, Tester is almost done! You are going to enjoy a short but deeply silly clip of our work… Plus a new Behind The Scenes of all the filmmaking process, thank to our friend Gabriele Principato.
But there is more. The gang is going to start working more with its holophonic toys. Yeah, get ready to experience some new goodies. In the meantime let me suggest you the best holophonic shit made. Ever! Take your headphones and listen to Roger Waters’ The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking. It is sweet. It is superb. It is super cool! I happened to listen to it one night, unable to sleep well. Man, how a great experience.

Taste it.

DAYDREAM si finally here! It’s a very special day for the gang. We are releasing our very first video production and, this is freaking huge, we are attending the official Vimeo Awards Contest with it, listed in the experimental category. So fellows, we need all your support now! Like our video, share it, love us! :)

Now, it is time for some special thanks. Emily West, Gregory Meini, Karen Ciaccia, Chiara Mangini, thank you very much, your performance has been awesome and your help mandative to arrive here!

Layla Cerosillo, Alessandro Castellano, Massimo Gasparini, Francesca Traverso (we had all our concept-development meetings at her place, yikes! You’re an angel) and my friends and work mates from Laboratorio Probabile Bellamy, because thanks to their support, effort, hints and suggestions we managed to develope our first short movie ONE DAY BEFORE ITS OFFICIAL DEADLINE (which is insanely cool and quite unexpected)! Wow!

We have also to thank our families, friends and girlfriends because with their constant support today, February 20th, “Eva!” is reaching a new step of awesomess. Thank you, we really are one!

Now, let’s talk about the short movie! Perhaps someone remembers Mr.What’s recent experiments with holophonic sounds. Well, this video is fuc*ing plenty of that awesome stuff! :D So my friends, you really need to wear your earphones before to watch the video. I’m sure you will appreciate our tireless Sound Engineer’s work. You will have to do what the clip asks you to do (it’s part of the experiment) but don’t worry, it is all explained before the titles.

Ok then, no more time for talking. We have to rest a little and to celebrate! See you soon guys, hope you will love our work, and be ready for some Behind The Scenes goodies soon!

DAYDREAM is (almost) here!
Hey guys! How is it going? Sorry if we look quite busy in the last days but we are working hard and pretty soon you will enjoy our finest pearl… Just a few of days more! Stay tuned and meanwhile enjoy a little shot from Mr.What’s work for Eva’s very first short movie! Yikes!

Storyboard (and much more): done!

Hey fellows! We’re going to release something new and cool, and it’s gonna be soon! I’ve spent a few of days working on a horrible-looking-but-necessary storyboard listening Dexter OST as creepy soundtrack (and you will see, it has been a very inspiring idea), which is also my latest suggestion: just watch it, Dexter is an awesome show! (and it was inspired by a book. It will be mine in a flash!)

But this is not the only news I have. We have spent a very funny morning latest sunday with Elstump and our friend Gregory from Just Add Melody. They worked as dubbers for the biggest Eva-news ever! Our upcoming short movie: Daydream. Of course I’ve shot something from that day, so you will enjoy it in the next days as a behind the scenes special!
I’ll keep you in the loop guys!

Screenplay: done!

Hey fellows! I’m glad to see you that we’ve just had a cool meeting with our friend Elstump. With her help we’ve revised a new and ass-kicking screenplay. The coolest thing? You’re going to watch an original experimental short movie from the Gang in less than one month. Yikes!

So, there’s a very important task for you my friends. We really need you to support Mr.What’s 3d sounds experiments because we’re going to involve the latest holophonic sound techniques in our short. Man, it’s gonna be a lot of work!

Elstump and Mr.What (and Lucky taking the shot) revising the new screenplay

Support the gang now! Look how we are cute while working!

A touching image. To be an artist in Italy means you will not be able to afford at the same time a decent phone and a real notepad!

Btw, while we’re working hard I wish to share with you something that Mr.What has recently found. C’era Una Volta a Roma (Once Upon A Time In Rome… And no, it is not a coincidence) is a massive event promoted by Red Bull Music Academy. The juicy thing is that all-star musicians from all over the world had been directed to perform the music of the most awesome Italian cult movies. The event featured fresh and witty artists such as Musica Nuda, which we really love.

Fair enough for now. I will keep you up to date step-by-step my friends. See you soon!

Hey, what’s up? everything’s fine? Hope so!

Here at the “Eva Coolness Factory” things are doing great! It’s a couple of days I’ve been experimenting some insanely intresting new stuff, one of which are HOLOPHONIC SOUNDS!

Yeah, weird stuff as you can tell from the name! They basically work following the same concept of holograms, giving you an extraordinary illusion that the sounds you hear are actually “placed” in certain positions around you!

All you have to do is to follow the instructions! So, check this track out and tell me what you think!

Here are the instructions:

You are going to hear someone walking around you, now:

1) wear a pair of HEADPHONES, any will be ok, in-ear, extra aural or any else.
2) try NOT to be in a too noisy environment!
3) CLOSE YOUR EYES and FOCUS on what you hear- Don’t be shy, I swear nothing will harm you and your ears, just close your eyes!

4) when you have listened to the full track WRITE WHERE THE WALKER PASSED, where he/she starts walking, what path does he/she walks around you, if he/she is close or far from you, at your righ or your left, in front of you or behind you! Remember, it WILL NOT WORK if you keep your eyes open!
I’m experimenting for a sound design project so I REALLY NEED YOUR FEEDBACK TO IMPROVE THE EFFECT!

Thanks!

Peace,
MrW

Hey fellows! Here we are again, the gang has something new for you! It’s called eva!blogcast and we are going to use it to share with you our best stories. The first episode will show you the results of Wolf’s latest trip with Francesca Traverso, a talented photographer from Genova.
So, what are you waiting for? Click on the video and enjoy the 54th Venice Biennale, a travel between art, design and architecture.
And hey! Don’t forget your headphones, this time background music is by Wolf himself.

Ladies and gentleman! A warm welcome to our !blogcast

There’s something HOT this Fall!

Hey fellows! How is it going?

The Gang is quickly developing a completely brand-new show and quite soon we’ll share a tasty preview of it with you. Meanwhile I can say you that it will involve music, visual arts and acting. All together.

“Peter Gabriel - The Rhythm of The Heat” Yikes!

Ok, this was definitely a long shot but even without the amazing New Blood orchestra we’re now working on a new songwriting style, which will make the Gang’s songs quite more similar to a soundtrack than its previous releases.
That it means we’re getting ready for something definitely big this time and for this we will need all your support… Wait for it!

On the other hand despite these busy times, we have just experienced some juicy pearls of inspiration thanks to Camille’s latest LP: Ilo Veyou. Oh fuck, it is an awesome work!

“Camille - Ilo Veyou” This woman is pure awesomess

In any event this song is reminding me another crazy and cool woman you should know. Kate Bush.
The english girl is quite important not just because she composed some timeless masterpieces, in fact she put on stage a revolutionary way to perform her songs in which lyrics, her body and her powerful voice become a dinamic set surronding the show (and you).

“Kate Bush - Sat in Your Lap” She still inspires me quite much.

My music suggestions aren’t finished yet, however. I’ve started to work quite much about video productions and my latest researches have taken me to some interesting clips I would like to share with you.
Who said you need a lot of different locations to arrange a freaking cool clip? Check this out!

“Oren Lavie - Her Morning Elegance” Hell! I’m crazy for stop motion.

If you like interesting motion techniques you should also consider to watch this clip. The mood is nearly the opposite, the taste definitely greedy.

“Noisia - Machinegun” Bang bang!

Now I will stop myself for a while, but you can be already sure my next posts will be plenty of cool stuff like these and more else. Stay tuned!

It’s time to celebrate fellows!

I’m proud to announce that our friend Begüm has just won the 2011st edition of Polyglot Contest. Her video, Sounds Differents Feels The Same has ranked first. Yikes lass!

See you soon fellows, with further informations about our new stuff.

And now, let’s party out wıth Burhan Öçal!

Hi buddies! What’s up there?

As you can see, here’s going really good! Brand new blog and A LOT of fucking cool new stuff!

First of all, I will introduce you our new Bass player! Mysterious legends and rumors of his past are flowing around, you will discover some of those staying tuned on our pages, but what’s important is that now he’s one of us! LittleGiant, it’s only a few weeks he works with us, but he has already given a lot to the project! You will see!

But for now, check out his other band’s music: Just Add Melody, they’re awesome and they’re going to be out soon with a glowing new CD, so support them!

By the way, as you may have noticed, we subscribed to a bunch of new sites and social networks that turned out to be quite inspiring!

First of all, SoundCloud, directly from Germany, it’s a nice site to share and listen to original music, but the cooler part is that YOU can comment our tunes! And there’s something MUCH COOLER: YOU can comment specific parts of each tune! So take a ride!

Another greatly inspiring site surely is Thounds, we still hadn’t much time to get into it, but we uploaded a loop from our live intro and the great thing is that YOU can add your own track over it and make the magic of music happen from anywhere in the world! We are really excited about sharing with you some of our ideas for the new tunes and listen what you all can add to them! Warm up your voices, your fingers and your percussion-converted-washtub and share with us your musical soul!

The last one is an iPhone Application that has our huge-retro-styled-hearts, it’s a really cool tool that makes you take fancy photos with a great vintage look, Instagram! Unfortunately it hasn’t got a proper Internet site for now, but you will find our profile with all our pics on your iPhones! We already posted some of the hottest photos, more are coming!

Well, that’s it for tonight! I have to build up some vocals for the new tunes!

See you soon!

Peace,

MrW

Hey fellows!
It’s time to put your hands on your computers and to start voting our friend Begüm! As you know she made an ass-kicking clip and she needs our support still. Click, click, click on the orange dot!
Btw, sorry if I’m a little over busy these days. As you can see, I’m spending all my days (until dinner time, yikes) at university to work on crazy workshops but today I have a nice tune for you (oh yes, like everytime!). It’s a very cool tune with a catchy old-times-Moby-style clip. Check it out pals!

Kwoon - I Lived on The Moon (thanks Emrah!)
Unfortunately now I’ve already to go. These days my life sucks! See ya soon fellows, take care.

A fucking good film maker

Hey fellows! What’s up?

During my travels I’ve happened to meet this talented and very promising film maker from İstanbul. Her name is Begüm Güleç.
At the moment, she’s waiting reviews about her latest work Sounds Different Feels The Same which is also her submission for latest Polyglot Video Contest. Check it out!

So what are you waiting for, dear fellows? Rate her cool work. The Gang is already giving her all its support!
Btw, we’ve just fallen in love with a nice application for your expens-phones, if any. It’s called Instagr.am and it gives a touch of charming vintage look to your shots. Check it out and look for evasgang on the application pages.

Now, I definitely have to care about my university works but hey, mates! I’ve a little bonus for you, still. I’ve recently found this song and I’m in love with its sound. Yep.

Sertab Erener - Zor Kadın (yikes, it’s sticked in my mind!

What is there under Eva’s Xmas Tree?

Hello again dear Fellows!

Another Xmas has finally come after a shiny year for us, the best year we could have never asked for.
A lot of things happened, we met a lot of nice people in any place we brought our show, people who appreciated our work and who tried to help us, who wanted to share something with us, or simply people who had fun during our shows and people who follows our journeys on the web from all over the world.
Thank You a Lot to All of You! Nothing we have done until now would have been possible, and nothing we are planning for the Future will be.

What’s in the Future? A huge event, probably next Spring, that will bring You all our Show wherever You could be in this World.
Please keep on supporting Eva to make this come true!

I hope You will have a Merry Christmas!

Peace,
MrW
